Attention Advocates! ACS CAN and ASTRO Webinar Recording Available
Last month, ASTRO and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) joined forces to discuss how the two organizations work together to make cancer a top priority for public officials and candidates at the federal, state and local levels of government. The webinar was specifically designed for residents and moderated by Neha Vapiwala, MD, FASTRO, ASTRO President-elect. ARRO’s own Mustafa Basree, DO, MS, who also serves as ASTRO’s Government Relations Fellow, and Jeff Martin of ACS CAN presented on each organization’s advocacy efforts and how residents can get more involved. The webinar recording is now available for those who missed the live session. Catch up on the insightful discussions and learn more about the collaborative efforts between ASTRO and ACS CAN. Watch now.

And more education @ The Resource Corner!
Did you use Anki in medical school and wish there were decks you could use to study radiation oncology? Well, you’re in luck as members of the ARRO Education Subcommittee have been working hard to put together a number of decks as another medium to provide for residents interested in electronic spaced-repetition learning. Ten decks have been released on www.ankiweb.net which can be found by searching for the term ARROAnki_* (e.g., ARROAnki_Heme). Note that these were not vetted by faculty, so if you notice inaccuracies or mistakes please let us know by www.ankiweb.net, emailing us or messaging via social media. Happy studying!
Interested in Clinical Trial Methodology & Design?
Apply for the 2026 RSNA Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop (CTMV) occurring in Jupiter, Florida, from January 10-16, 2026. The focal point of each trainee’s participation is the development of a protocol for a clinical study ready for inclusion in an application for external funding. Deadline to apply is July 15.
