This episode features ASTRO President Neha Vapiwala, MD, FASTRO, speaking with Samuel Marcrom, MD, the program director at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Marcrom is a former executive committee member for ARRO and a co-founder of QuadShot News, a web-based platform and daily email designed to keep practicing oncologists informed of the newest advancements in cancer care.

Dr. Refaat shares the ways that International Ambassadors represent ASTRO within their countries to increase our visibility, support our international members and facilitate partnerships that can expand access to radiation oncology services worldwide.

This week, we have the opportunity to hear from Daniel Petereit, MD, FASTRO, of Rapid City, South Dakota. He shares the challenges and achievements of Walking Forward, a program he helped establish to help reduce health disparities for the Native American community.
