Government likely to reopen after 43 Days
The U.S. Federal government is expected to reopen this week after a seven-week shutdown. The Senate passed a continuing resolution Monday night following a deal that would fund the government through the end of January, including three full-year appropriations measures, extend telehealth flexibilities and waive the statutory PAYGO (pay as you go) requirements to prevent cuts to Medicare. The measure now heads to the House for a vote. Please visit What’s Happening in Washington for more details.

Prepare your practice for 2026 by participating in the Coding and Coverage Seminar
The ASTRO 2025 Virtual Coding and Coverage Seminar was developed to help radiation oncology practices keep up with this complex and ever-changing part of clinical practice. Coding and coverage for radiation oncology is not addressed in medical programs nor is it included in job training for billing and coding professionals. ASTRO's coding seminar will address the professional practice gap. This seminar will be of interest to radiation oncologists, physicists, radiation therapists, radiation dosimetrists, practice administrators, certified coders and professional coders.
