ASTRO 2026 Annual Meeting Press Kit

The 2026 ASTRO Annual Meeting — the leading global conference in radiation oncology — will be held September 26-30 at Boston’s Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center. Led by ASTRO President Neha Vapiwala, MD, FASTRO, the meeting is organized around the theme, “Data to Dialogue: Communicating Radiotherapy's Value to Advance Care.” More than 2,500 abstracts, presented alongside educational panels, keynote addresses and other special programming, will explore the latest updates in radiation oncology, clinical trials results and patient care improvements.

Press Registration

ASTRO provides complimentary meeting registration to credentialed news professionals representing media organizations for the sole purpose of gathering news and information to produce editorial coverage of the ASTRO Annual Meeting.

ASTRO will host an on-site press office in room 104C of the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center during meeting hours.


News Briefings

ASTRO news briefings will spotlight noteworthy and high-impact research presented at the meeting. Briefings will be held in room 104B of the convention center and via livestream.

All abstracts to be presented at the ASTRO Annual Meeting are embargoed until 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, September 25, 2026. For more details, view the full embargo policy. Contact ASTRO's media relations team with questions about the embargo policy or for press access to embargoed materials.

Abstracts will be available online via the Annual Meeting Portal when the embargo lifts. Abstracts also will be published and available at that time in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics (Red Journal). Abstract titles and presenter/presentation details are available now in the Annual Meeting portal.
