| Public comment open: Draft guideline on radiation therapy for Hodgkin lymphoma |
| ASTRO is seeking public comments on our first draft guideline for radiation therapy for Hodgkin lymphoma. The guideline covers the use of radiation therapy for classic and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma in upfront, combined-modality settings and in relapsed or refractory disease.
It also addresses indications for radiation therapy, integration with systemic therapy, dose-fractionation and treatment volumes, planning and delivery techniques, normal tissue considerations, and appropriate follow-up and surveillance. Congratulations to Sue S. Yom, MD, PhD, FASTRO, who was recently announced as a 2026 Giant of Cancer Care! The recognition from oncology news outlet OncLive recognizes “visionaries whose groundbreaking discoveries, fearless innovation, and relentless dedication have transformed the landscape of oncology.” Dr. Yom — a Jacobs Distinguished Professor at the University of California San Francisco who has served as the Red Journal Editor-in-Chief since 2022 — will be honored at a ceremony on May 28. |
