ASTRO requests feedback on the draft guidelines for Radiation Therapy for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Anal Canal, due Friday, October 4, and the draft ASTRO/ASCO/SSO guideline on Postmastectomy Radiation Therapy (PMRT), due Monday, October 7. You can also access both draft guidelines and their webforms at www.astro.org/PublicComment. |

ASTRO Government Relations Resident Fellow selected We are excited to announce that Mustafa Basree, DO, MS, a resident at the University of Wisconsin, was selected as ASTRO’s 2025 Government Relations Resident Fellow. Dr. Basree will shadow ASTRO’s Advocacy staff throughout the year, participating in advocacy meetings and functions, including meetings with members of Congress or their staff. Announcing the ASTRO-BCRF RO Visiting Away Rotation recipients and next awards cycle |
Congratulations to the ASTRO-BCRF Radiation Oncology Visiting Away Rotation award recipients. These awards provide support to medical students from communities underrepresented in science and medicine and interested in radiation oncology careers to experience four-week clinical or clinical research rotations. The current application period for the ASTRO-BCRF Radiation Oncology Visiting Rotation awards will close on October 16, 2024. Learn more about award eligibility and application requirements. |
