ASTRO has made an intentional effort to support and celebrate diversity in the radiation oncology community with the guidance of the Health Care Access and Community Engagement (formerly HEDI) Council and subcommittees including the Women in Radiation Oncology (RO) Affinity Group. These efforts have become an integral part of the ASTRO Annual Meeting, highlighted in sessions below. Additionally, ASTRO offers family friendly services and child care stipends. ASTRO welcomes caregivers and working parents, along with their children, to the Annual Meeting. We have compiled resources and information to assist with your family's plans, including an application for a $250 child care stipend for residents and attendings in their first year in practice (a limited number of stipends are available).
This programming has been designed to provide a well-rounded Annual Meeting experience while expanding social awareness on these areas within RO.
