ASTRO and House Cancer Caucus to host July 14 Congressional briefing

On July 14, ASTRO leaders in conjunction with the House Cancer Caucus will host a Congressional briefing on patient access to radiation therapy and challenges affecting cancer care. The discussion will highlight the impact of recent Medicare reimbursement changes and other barriers that can limit access to timely treatment close to home. ASTRO members are encouraged to contact their congressional offices and urge health policy staff to attend. This is an important opportunity to educate policymakers on solutions, including the bipartisan Radiation Oncology Case Rate (ROCR) Act, that can help protect access to high-quality cancer care.
