| ASTRO has requested an urgent meeting with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator to address the severe reimbursement impact of the revised treatment delivery codes. ASTRO has urged CMS to take immediate action to stabilize access to radiation therapy nationwide. Read What’s Happening in Washington for more information. Members are also reminded to continue reporting payer issues with the revised codes, including impacts to potential clinic closures, via the Payer Support and Resolution Center. |

| White House proposes steep cuts to health agencies |
| The White House sent its FY27 budget request to Congress on April 3. The request proposes a 12% cut to the National Institutes of Health, flat funding for the National Cancer Institute, and a 37% cut to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). Please visit the Call for Committee Volunteers online, where you may select up to two committees in order of preference. The Committee Volunteer process remains open until May 1. Volunteers who are selected to serve will be notified no later than August 1. |
