ASTRO is launching two learning collaboratives focused on advancing radiopharmaceutical therapy in radiation oncology. This peer-to-peer program brings together interested members with experienced radiation oncology professionals to share clinical expertise and explore best practices for integrating radiopharmaceuticals into comprehensive cancer care. Through case-based discussions and expert presentations, participants will deepen their practical understanding on one of two initial topics: trial readiness and how to establish a new service line. Build your network and glean insights at this year’s Annual Meeting Speed Mentoring Sessions
Speed Mentoring is back, featuring a series of 10-minute sessions, where mentees meet with an array of leading experts from the field. This year, we will offer four sessions in the Early Career and Mentoring Lounge, North Lobby. On Sunday, September 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., we will host two sessions specifically for medical students and for international attendees. The next sessions are open to all and are on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the final session on Monday from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Make the most of your time and get your questions ready!
Annual Meeting embargo reminder
Quick reminder that all abstracts to be presented at the ASTRO Annual Meeting are embargoed from public release until 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, September 26. The embargo for all posters at the meeting will also lift at that time. For oral presentations, additional results are embargoed until presentation time. While ASTRO members receive advance access to abstracts in their Red Journal proceedings as a member benefit, these abstracts are not intended for public distribution before the embargo lifts, and we ask that you not share them or their content while under embargo. Authors are responsible for notifying financial and other sponsors about the embargo policy, which is also available online. Embargo violations by authors and/or sponsors may result in removal from the scientific program. Please send any questions about the embargo policy to ASTRO's media relations team.
ASTRO 2025 Housing deadline tomorrow
Act now! The deadline to make hotel reservations for ASTRO 2025 is tomorrow, September 4! Hotel reservations received after today will be processed on a space available basis and may be subject to higher rates.
 
World Radiation Therapy Awareness Day is this Sunday, September 7 
WRAD is a day dedicated to highlight the essential role of radiation therapy in treating cancer, relieving symptoms and improving a patient's quality of life. ASTRO is proud to be a part of organizing WRAD and we encourage you to visit the WRAD website for graphics and resources to share with your community and on social media. Use the hashtags #WorldRTDay, #WRAD or #OneVoiceForRadiotherapy with your posts and be sure to tag ASTRO and WRAD.
