Last week, 233 members of Congress called on House Speaker Johnson and Leader Jeffries to prioritize legislation that will fix the broken Medicare reimbursement system. Led by ASTRO Champion Jimmy Panetta (CA) and Mariannette Miller-Meeks, MD, the letter calls for action before January 1, 2025, when the cuts go into effect. Staying engaged with Advocacy after ASTRO 2024
Talking with the hundreds of attendees that stopped by the ASTROPAC Pod during ASTRO 2024, the most common comment the ASTRO Advocacy team heard was: “I am looking for ways to get engaged.” One of the most effective engagements is also the easiest: ask Congress to cosponsor ROCR. Complete the address fields, add a personal message if you wish, and your message automatically goes to your senators and representative. It’s a moment of your time for meaningful payment reform. Visit What’s Happening in Washington for more ways to engage.
