Reminder! Recognition awards deadlines approaching
The ASTRO Mentorship Awards recognize outstanding role models in radiation oncology who have excelled as mentors. Nominations are due Wednesday, April 3. ASTRO Gold Medal nominations are due Friday, April 12, and ASTRO Fellows applications are due May 3. Award recipients will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony during the Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
Supervision Town Hall scheduled for Friday, April 5
Thank you for the ongoing feedback regarding direct supervision. We continue to gather your feedback and invite ASTRO members to a Supervision Town Hall on Friday, April 5. Register to attend. Please continue to share your perspectives and comments via the ROhub or by emailing Health Policy.
ASTRO sends SRT sign-on letter to CMS
With over 250 signatures, ASTRO's comment letter opposing the billing of image guidance codes with superficial radiation therapy (SRT) has been sent to CMS. We appreciate everyone who signed on to support the letter, and we will keep membership updated on our continued dialogue with CMS officials on this issue. Last days to apply: Task force applicants for guideline on bladder cancer
ASTRO is assembling a task force to develop a guideline on radiation therapy for bladder cancer. In addition to general applicants, we are hoping to include a task force member with health equity expertise. If you or a colleague are interested in participating or have this content expertise, please apply for consideration by Thursday, March 21.

Direct your patients and their caregivers to ASTRO's RTAnswers website. Content is written and updated on a continuous basis by the ASTRO Communications Committee. The site offers patient testimonials, plus information on different kinds of treatments, possible side effects, self-care tips, what to expect before, during and after treatment and more! Encourage patients to read and view the ASTRO-developed brochures and videos, including the newly released update to Introduction to Radiation Therapy, to learn more about their treatment options.
