Biographical Statement

I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I received an undergraduate degree in biology. Afterward, I completed a master’s degree in biomedical science at Wake Forest University Graduate School, where I conducted research at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. I then enrolled at Wake Forest School of Medicine and contributed to research in the Department of Radiation Oncology, including one summer through the ASTRO Minority Summer Fellowship Program. I am currently completing my Radiation Oncology Residency at Johns Hopkins. My passions within radiation oncology include medical student recruitment, mentorship, and addressing issues related to clinical trial recruitment and inclusion. For the past two years, I have served as a member of the Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee (EISC). I am honored to join the ARRO executive committee and co-lead the EISC. My goal is to provide a platform and community for residents who were traditionally excluded and underrepresented in the field of radiation oncology. I will use this time to serve as an advocate for residents from all backgrounds. Away from medicine, I enjoy horseback riding, hiking and watching UNC basketball.
