Biographical Statement

I was born in Ambler, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I attended Swarthmore College where I majored in Biology. Prior to medical school I lived in Botswana and conducted clinical research in cervical cancer with a focus on patients with HIV infection. I attended Brown University for medical school and dedicated an additional year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow to explore the impact of aneuploidy on oncogenesis. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on clinical and translational research that I hope to use to improve oncology care in low resource settings. Currently I am a resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. I am beyond excited to serve on the ARRO Executive Committee and be a representative voice of residents nationwide as well as help lead the Global Health Subcommittee in our aims to enhance collaboration between residents nationally and internationally, ultimately fostering career involvement in global radiation oncology.
