BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Indrin J. Chetty, MS, PhD, is Professor, Vice-chair of Research and Director of the Medical Physics Division in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (2023-present). Dr. Chetty has built a career at the intersection of technology innovation, clinical innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic mentorship. He graduated from the UCLA Departmental of Physics in Biology and Medicine in 1999, after which he joined the University of Michigan (UM) Department of Radiation Oncology as a faculty physicist in early 2000. At UM he advanced the role of dose algorithms in treatment planning for lung cancers and was awarded a NCI R01 grant as PI in 2005 to study the correlation between dose and outcomes for patients with lung cancers. He joined Henry Ford Hospital in 2007 where he served for 16 years as Head of the Medical Physics Division, Vice Chair for Academics and was awarded Wendel W. Anderson Endowed Chair (2019). Dr. Chetty has been an active ASTRO member for more than two decades, with extensive service in science, education, safety/quality and leadership activities. He has also been an active member of the AAPM.
