Each year, the ARRO Executive Committee hosts the ARRO Annual Seminar on the Saturday of the ASTRO Annual Meeting. The ARRO Annual Seminar is a day-long program that is specifically developed for current and prospective residents in radiation oncology. Medical students are encouraged to attend!
Sessions related to professional development, networking, education, global health, research and current events are developed each year by the current members of the ARRO Executive Committee based on resident feedback and suggestions.
Immediately following the Annual Seminar, ARRO hosts a reception at a local establishment for residents (and guests), which is always well-attended.
Other ARRO events for residents at the Annual Meeting include:
- The ARRO “Meet the Professor” Reception
Casual mixer for faculty, residents, and medical students from programs across the country
- The ARRO Annual Luncheon
Lecture and lunch with the ASTRO President and ARRO Executive Committee
- Poster Walks with a Professor
Opportunity to discuss the year's posters with disease site-specific faculty experts
