Christina Henson, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, the Program Director for the University of Oklahoma Radiation Oncology Program, and an attending radiation oncologist at OU Health in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is passionate about the treatment of head and neck and skin cancers and is a developing clinical trialist. She is the site PI for RTOG Foundation trials, serves on the NRG Head and Neck Core Committee and is Co-Chair of the Young Investigators Committee of the Head and Neck Cancer International Group. She is a member of the Red Journal editorial board.

Dr. Henson has been involved in graduate medical education since completing her residency training, serving first as her department’s Associate Program Director, and accepting the role of Program Director shortly thereafter. She has now served as Program Director for three years and has restructured the program’s curriculum, enhanced educational collaborations with other disciplines on campus and other programs across the nation, created a multidisciplinary oncology elective for medical students, and serves as the faculty advisor for the University’s Oncology Interest Group. She enjoys mentoring residents, medical students, undergraduate students and biomedical engineering students.
