ASTRO Guideline on Radiation Therapy for Pancreatic Cancer

This guideline addresses RT for the treatment of patients with invasive ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma with a broad spectrum of nonmetastatic (i.e., resectable, borderline resectable, locally advanced, locoregionally recurrent) and metastatic pancreatic cancer. The scope of treatment included the use of RT in the definitive setting, defined as the main local treatment when surgery was not planned with the primary goal of disease control, preoperative setting, postoperative setting, and palliative setting, defined as treatment where the primary goal is symptom relief.
