ROCR Adds Additional Key Cosponsors
August 19, 2026
Last week, Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), a leading bipartisan problem-solver in Congress, joined as the latest cosponsors of the Radiation Oncology Case Rate (ROCR) Act. Rep. Miller's support is particularly significant given Ways and Means' jurisdiction over Medicare policy and its key role in advancing legislation like ROCR. Growing support among members of this committee is critical as ASTRO works to build the foundation for future congressional action. With these additions, ROCR now has 41 bipartisan House cosponsors, including cancer champions and key Medicare policymakers.
ASTRO members can help maintain this momentum by contacting their representatives and encouraging them to cosponsor ROCR. Personal outreach from constituents remains one of the most effective ways to demonstrate the urgent need for payment stability and patient access protections in radiation oncology.
