CMS proposes changes for 2027 Quality Payment Program

On July 16, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the 2027 Quality Payment Program (QPP) proposed rule. The proposed rule includes changes to the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and the MIPS Value Pathways (MVP) framework, including the phasing out of traditional MIPS to the MVP.
