ASTRO helped secure Medicaid fee schedule updates for revised treatment delivery codes across multiple state Medicaid programs and private payers. In Texas, Medicaid has agreed to revise its fee schedule after CPT codes 77387, 77402, 77407 and 77412 were not included in the original schedule. The proposed reimbursement rates presented during the April 24, 2026, rate hearing were approved and will be applied retroactively to January 1, 2026. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission website is expected to reflect these changes within the coming weeks. Additional Medicaid fee schedule updates are also underway in Wyoming and Oregon. The Wyoming Department of Health is expected to update its website in the coming weeks, while the Oregon Health Plan anticipates posting updates in early July. In addition, private Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in Alabama and Michigan have updated reimbursement rates for radiation treatment delivery services.
