Telehealth flexibilities reinstated; Claims should be resubmitted
November 26, 2025
On November 20, 2025, CMS provided updated guidance to telehealth providers to retroactively submit any claims they held during the government shutdown and continue billing normally through January 30, 2026. At that time, current pandemic-era telehealth flexibilities are set to expire unless Congress intervenes. CMS also clarified that practitioners who provide telehealth services from home but maintain a physical practice location may continue listing that practice address, rather than their home, on Medicare billing and enrollment forms. However, virtual-only providers without physical sites must list their home address.
