Senate passes Reconciliation Bill, includes one-year doc fix
July 2, 2025
On July 1, the Senate passed its budget reconciliation bill (HR.1), which now returns to the House of Representatives for a final vote. Included is language that would increase Medicare Physician Fee Schedule payments by 2.5% in 2026, and maintain the current PTET (pass-through entity tax) deduction, protecting small medical practices from being double-taxed. ASTRO remains concerned about the nearly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid in the reconciliation bill.
