NRC issues Interim T&E Guidance
April 30, 2025
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a final version of its Interim Staff Guidance (ISG) for Implementation of 10 CFR Part 35 Training and Experience (T&E) Requirements. The guidance is meant to help licensees comply with the regulations; it does not change the regulations. The ISG provides guidance on the implementation of the NRC’s T&E regulatory requirements to streamline evaluation of license actions (including new license and renewal applications, and amendment request) and ensure consistent license reviews. The ISG clarifies the roles and responsibilities of individuals subject to T&E requirements, outlines the information needed to demonstrate compliance with NRC regulations, and provides step-by-step instructions for adding authorized individuals to medical-use licenses.
