The President’s Cancer Panel has invited ASTRO President Jeff Michalski, MD, MBA, FASTRO, to share how ASTRO and the radiation oncology community is contributing to the National Cancer Plan’s goals during a virtual day-long meeting Sept. 7. Dr. Michalski is scheduled to present from 11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Eastern time. Dr. Michalski will discuss challenges and opportunities facing radiation oncology as part of a discussion around the National Cancer Plan goals, which include: preventing cancer, early detection, developing effective treatments, eliminating inequities, delivering optimal patient care, maximizing data utility, engaging every individual and optimizing the medical workforce. Registration is open to the public.
