Neha Vapiwala, MD, FASTRO, is President of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the Eli Glatstein, MD, Endowed Professor and Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also serves as Dean of Admissions for its medical school.
A nationally recognized expert in treating patients with prostate and other genitourinary cancers, Dr. Vapiwala serves on the National Cancer Institute’s task force for prostate cancer and leads multiple clinical trials advancing treatment in this area. She also publishes extensively on topics affecting clinical practice, medical training and workforce development.
