Dr. David Sher, MD, MPH, FASTRO, is a radiation oncologist specializing in head and neck cancers and Chair of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Head & Neck Cancer Resource Panel. He is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he serves as Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Quality and Chief of the Head and Neck Radiation Oncology Service.
Dr. Sher’s clinical and research interests include adaptive radiotherapy and integrating new radiation technologies to reduce side effects and preserve patients’ quality of life. He also led the task force that developed ASTRO’s national guidelines for HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer.
