Dr. Catheryn Yashar, MD, FASTRO, is President of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and Chief Medical Officer for UC San Diego Health, where she also serves as Associate Dean and a professor of radiation medicine and applied sciences.
Dr. Yashar specializes in treating patients with breast and gynecologic cancers and is a national authority in brachytherapy. A leading expert in health policy and economics, she is also a strong advocate for policies that increase patient access and reflect the true value of radiation oncology care.
