More endorsements roll in for ROCR Act | |
Support for the Radiation Oncology Case Rate Value Based Payment Program (ROCR) Act continues to build, as two important endorsement letters were sent to congressional leadership on July 23. ASTRO is very grateful to the more than 60 organizations — including freestanding centers, community hospitals, private practice groups, academic centers and professional organizations — that signed the support letter to Congress and the 10 partners in the cancer patient advocacy community that signed the Cancer Leadership Council statement. Ask your members of Congress to cosponsor the ROCR Act via our easy-to-use grassroots system to reach our goal of 1,000 messages by today, July 31. For more, go to What’s Happening in Washington. |

Interviews from the ASTRO History Committee |
Over the past two decades, the ASTRO History Committee has conducted a series of oral interviews of notable Society members. Each individual has a unique story, and each journey provides unique lessons and insights into our specialty’s past, and possibly, about our future. Today we highlight David Hussey, MD, FASTRO, who was interviewed on June 12, 2012, by Christopher Rose, MD, FASTRO, and David Larson, MD, PhD, FASTRO. |
