Career Center

Whether you’re actively job hunting or just starting to explore what’s next, ASTRO’s Career Center is here to support you every step of the way.

As a resident member, you get access to career opportunities tailored specifically to radiation oncology — including positions in academic medicine, community practice and beyond. Employers looking to hire radiation oncologists use the ASTRO Career Center to find candidates like you.

Member Benefit: Early Access

ASTRO members receive exclusive early access to job postings — up to two days before they’re publicly available. That head start can make a real difference when you’re navigating a competitive job market.

What You’ll Find in the Career Center

  • Job opportunities relevant to radiation oncology
  • Positions across career paths, practice settings and geographic regions
  • A centralized place to explore what opportunities are available to graduating residents and early‑career physicians

Graduating this Year? Help Shape the Data that Supports You

As part of ARRO and ASTRO’s commitment to supporting residents during this critical transition, we invite graduating residents to complete the Graduating Resident Survey. Graduating residents will receive an email in May for the survey.

Your input helps us better understand:

  • Career plans and job search experiences of graduating residents
  • Trends in employment settings and geographic preferences
  • Where additional resources, tools, or support may be most helpful for future trainees

Survey results are used in aggregate to inform ASTRO programming, career resources, and workforce insights — supporting not just your class, but residents who follow.

If you’re finishing training, your perspective matters, and it helps strengthen the resources available through ASTRO’s Career Center and beyond.

2025 Graduating Resident Survey Results

The annual graduating resident survey is the most frequently gathered resource for assessing the ease or difficulty of finding employment for newly graduated radiation oncology residents. It shows a yearly snapshot of what regions and practice settings residents are heading along with the overall satisfaction of that graduating class. View the 2025 Graduating Resident Survey results. Note, you must be an ASTRO member-in-training to view the results.
