Biographical Statement

I am originally from Turkey and completed my medical education at Hacettepe University, graduating among the top candidates in my class. I completed my residency in Radiation Oncology at Ankara University, where I also became actively involved in global health and research initiatives, including projects with the IAEA. I later moved to the U.S. and worked in research roles at Miami Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering, with a focus on neuro-oncology, radiosurgery, and global radiation oncology development. I am currently a Radiation Oncology resident at The Ohio State University. One of the most rewarding aspects of our field for me is the ability to combine cutting-edge technology with deeply human, patient-centered care. As a member of ARRO’s Global Health Executive Committee, I’m committed to advancing equitable access to high-quality cancer care worldwide. In my free time, I enjoy exploring local parks, spending time with my cat Curie, and trying new recipes with my partner.
