Biographical Statement
As the Communications and Advocacy subcommittee member, I plan to continue the current framework of internal communication through the ARROgram and social media. I also plan to update the current site with upcoming opportunities in research, industry, and more. Further, I would like to develop frameworks with providers in oncologic and benign disease sites to further advocate the role of radiation medicine beyond our traditional role. This may include having a multidisciplinary meeting and conducting surveys at several institutions with providers in these benign disease sites to then develop a referral network. If successful, this can then be translated at other institutions as well to help increase awareness of the role of radiation therapy. Therefore, my primary goals will be to continue providing updated communications internally as well as externally to expand our scope in radiation medicine.
