Biographical Statement
Jake Hogan is a radiation oncology resident with a strong interest in health care access and equity. Originally from Roosevelt Island in New York City, he studied bioinformatics at Brigham Young University before earning his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Jake’s interest in health economics and access to care was shaped in part by helping navigate the medical billing system after a family health emergency. The experience highlighted the barriers many patients face and motivated his work to improve access for underserved communities.
As a member of the ARRO Executive Committee and the Health Care Access and Advancement Subcommittee, Jake is focused on mentorship, advocacy, and expanding opportunities for trainees interested in health care access initiatives.
Outside of work, he enjoys finding the best bagels and pizza in Boston, exploring New England, and spending time with his family.
