Biographical Statement
Dr. Mona Arbab earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where she was awarded the Dean’s Award for Top Ranked Medical Student. She completed two research fellowships in both radiation biology and immunology at Harvard Medical School, where she received the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA T32) grant, followed by an internship in surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She went on to complete her clinical training in radiation oncology at Indiana University’s Radiation Oncology Program and earned a master’s degree in education from Indiana University.
She has always been passionate about medical education and incorporating radiation oncology into undergraduate medical education. She serves as the reviewer for Advances in Radiation Oncology and International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics and also volunteers for the ABR Angoff Committee.
