Global Health Scholar Application

We are now accepting applications for the 2024 ASTRO-ARRO Global Health Scholars Program. The following documents must be received to constitute a complete application:

  • Completed application form
  • Letter of support from program director at home institution
  • Letter of support from sponsor at institution abroad
  • Personal Statement
  • Project Description

Contact Information for Sponsor at Destination Program, Clinic or Institution

Sponsorship:
Please have the sponsor, faculty member or program director from the institution abroad provide us with a brief letter of intent describing your activities while visiting abroad. The letter of intent should be emailed to ARRO no later than Friday, April 12, 2024.

IMPORTANT! Please remember that your application is not complete and will not be considered until we receive a Letter of Support from your home program and a Statement of Intent from a sponsor at the facility or institution that you would like to visit.

Personal statement:
Please provide a personal statement (maximum length one page). Applicants are encouraged to describe their interest in global health including prior international experience and how this experience will impact their future career.

Project Description:
Please provide a description (maximum length one page) of the project to be completed. The description should include detailed goals and objectives of the project, stakeholder involvement and benefits to the local community and global health, as well as provide an outline of how the applicant's time will be spent during the proposed  project.
