Malika Siker

Malika Siker, MD

Malika Siker, MD, is Associate Dean for Student Inclusion and Diversity and Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In her administrative role, she directs initiatives focusing on cultivating a culture of inclusion for students and increasing student diversity through pathway programs for learners interested in health science careers. Her patient care emphases are blood, brain, pediatric and prostate cancers. Additionally, she has published multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, essays and book chapters and is a passionate advocate for health equity. As faculty of the Kern Institute, she works to transform medical education around character and empathy. She is active on Twitter (@drmalikasiker). She enjoys yoga, traveling and spending time with friends and family. 
 
Parul Barry

Parul Barry, MD, FACRO

Parul Barry, MD, FACRO, received her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College, and completed her medical school and residency training at the University of Louisville. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh.
 
She is passionate about research and teaching, and has focused much of her clinical and research work on the treatment of breast and gynecologic cancers. She is a member of multiple organizations and holds leadership positions at the national level. She has chaired the resident and new practitioner committees and co-chaired the Scientific Program Committee for the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) and now currently serves on the Board of Chancellors. Additionally, she is the Director of Research for the Women in Medicine Summit and serves on the senior advisory committee for the Society of Women in Radiation Oncology. She is a member of both the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) CHEDI and Education committees and is active in developing their educational content. She is active in clinical trials and serves as a member of the NRG Oncology breast committee.
Iris C. Gibbs

Iris C. Gibbs, MD, is Professor of Radiation Oncology, Professor of Neurosurgery (courtesy) and Associate Dean of MD Admissions at Stanford Medicine. Dr. Gibbs is a champion of DEI and belonging.

Dr. Gibbs was the founding co-Director of the Stanford Cyberknife Radiosurgery Program with expertise in pediatric and adult brain tumors and robotic radiosurgery. Dr. Gibbs was awarded fellowships of ACR, ASTRO and AAWR.

Dr. Gibbs is a past chair of the NMA Section on Radiology and Radiation Oncology, the current Chairperson of the Board of the Radiosurgery Society and the recipient of the 2020 AAWR Alice Ettinger Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ranna Parekh

Ranna Parekh, MD, MPH

Ranna Parekh, MD, MPH, joined the American College of Cardiology in July 2019 as the inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Previously, Dr. Parekh was at the American Psychiatric Association for almost five years as a Deputy Medical Director and the Director of the Division of Diversity and Health Equity. In this latter role, she was also Director of the American Psychiatric Association/ American Psychiatric Association Foundation’s (APA/APAF) eight fellowship programs and five medical student grants including the Minority Fellowship Program. r. Parekh is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Previous to joining APA, she practiced at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and McLean Hospital/ Harvard Medical School and was the inaugural Director of the  MGH Department of Psychiatry’s Center for Diversity.
 
Dr. Parekh is co-author of the e-book Overcoming Prejudice in the Workplace (Harvard Health Publishers, 2012). She is also editor of the Massachusetts General Hospital Textbook on Diversity and Cultural Sensitivity (Springer Publishers, 2013) and co-editor of Cultural Sensitivity in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (MGH Academy Press, 2016), Stigma and Prejudice: Touchstones in Understanding Diversity ( Springer Publishers, 2016), and Cultural Psychiatry with Children, Adolescents and Families (American Psychiatric Press, 2021).
 
Dr. Parekh has led trainings and lectured locally, nationally and internationally on topics including diversity, health care disparities, microaggressions, cultural psychiatry, mediation, collaborative negotiations, child and adolescent psychiatry, addictions and psychopharmacology. She has lived, studied and worked around the world including Japan, France, Poland, New Zealand and Australia. Dr. Parekh is a graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health (MPH), the adult psychiatry and child fellowship residency trainings programs at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and also holds degrees from Wayne State University (MD, BSc in Biology, BA in Chemistry and co-major in Black Studies). Currently, Dr. Parekh holds academic appointments at the Massachusetts General Hospital, George Washington University Medical School and Morehouse School of Medicine.
