Albert Attia, MD, is a senior associate consultant and is the Residency Program Director for the Radiation Oncology Department at Mayo Clinic Florida. Prior to his arrival, he was the medical director of Radiation Oncology at St. Francis Cancer Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to that, he was an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During his time there, Dr. Attia was the Residency Program Director where he developed the educational program there and mentored many medical students and residents. For his efforts, he was awarded the ARRO Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Attia also serves as an American Board of Radiology board examiner. At Mayo, Dr. Attia is the lead radiation oncologist for the genitourinary section and is actively involved in clinical trial development and graduate medical education.
