Jumbo recognition for the giant Yom

If there ever was any question, there is no longer doubt about Dr. Sue Yom’s towering stature in the world of oncology. The mega influential Red Journal Editor-in-Chief was recognized at this year’s ASCO meeting in Chicago as a 2026 Giant of Cancer Care! This enormous award from the news media service OncLive celebrates Dr. Yom’s colossal contributions toward improving the management of head and neck cancer patients and her many other mammoth career accomplishments. In her day job, Dr. Yom is a Jacobs Distinguished Professor at the University of California San Francisco, where she stands tall against tumors of titanic proportions.
