The 2021 Multidisciplinary Thoracic Cancers Symposium is a two-and-a-half day meeting featuring interactive case discussions; educational sessions on multidisciplinary therapies, new targeted therapies, immunotherapy, treatment and screening guidelines, supportive care; and oral abstract sessions highlighting the most current, evidence-based practices. Do you need a visa?
The Visa Waiver Program
permits citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for business or tourism for stays up to 90 days without a visa. Visa Waiver Program travelers are required to apply for and obtain approval authorization via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)

We encourage non-U.S. travelers who need a visa to enter the United States to begin the visa application process as soon as you register for the 2021 Multidisciplinary Thoracic Cancers Symposium. The application and interview process varies from country to country and can take up to 90 days to complete. After you register for the 2021 Multidisciplinary Thoracic Cancers Symposium, you will be provided a link where you may download a visa letter of invitation.
When does your U.S. visa expire?

How should you apply for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa?

in your country to find out the process for applying for a U.S. visa, and how long it will take.
Additional planning time beyond the guidelines above may be needed for visa applicants applying at some embassies because of to the time required to schedule an interview appointment. Additionally, the wait times for a Nonimmigrant Visa do not include time for required security clearances or administrative processing, which may extend beyond the general timeframe guidelines.

Visa Application Tips
- Include a letter of invitation from the meeting organizer.
- When possible, provide proof of professional scientific and/or educational status, society membership, and/or meeting registration.
- Visa applicants are expected to provide evidence that they intend to return to their country of residence. Therefore, applicants should provide proof of binding or sufficient ties to their home country or permanent residence abroad.
