ASTRO has awarded 15 radiation oncology residents EAGL awards to attend Advocacy Day 2024 in Washington, DC, May 20-21. This “Emerging Advocacy Grassroots Leadership” award, which helps defray travel costs, recognizes radiation oncology residents and nurses passionate about advocating for the specialty and our patients. Advocacy Day provides ASTRO members the best opportunity to engage with U.S. senators, representatives and respective staff members on critical radiation oncology policy issues. The two-day event features expert panels, policy issue briefs, Hill meeting training and more. Join us — there's still time to register! The deadline for making hotel reservations is this Friday, April 26. For the list of EAGL award grantees, see What's Happening in Washington.
