The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has released a National Cancer Plan that aims to support the Cancer Moonshot goal of ending cancer as we know it by providing a framework for stakeholders to contribute to this goal.

Within the Plan, NCI lists these eight objectives:

• Prevent Cancer
• Detect Cancers Early
• Develop Effective Treatments
• Eliminate Inequities
• Deliver Optimal Care
• Engage Every Person
• Maximize Data Utility
• Optimize the Workforce

To help reach these objectives, the Plan details various strategies tied to each, including research and other activities for everyone from large organizations to the individual.

At its core, this National Cancer Plan shares the same call to action as the Cancer Moonshot; we must all do our part to help end cancer as we know it.
