Call for Volunteers - 2022 Social Champions
Calling all social savvy #radonc and #medphys and #RadBio members! We are looking for volunteers to serve as a Social Champion during the ASTRO 2022 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be live and in-person October 23 – 26 in San Antonio.
#ASTRO22 Social Champions serve as Annual Meeting ambassadors on Twitter, Instagram or both. The duties of the Social Champions include pre-promotion of the meeting (including highlighting ASTRO content) and being an active participant during the meeting (sharing important science, interesting topics, social events, and more). This is a great opportunity to elevate the profile of radiation oncology through social media, while also elevating your own profile.
For early-bird Social Champion applicants, we ask that you have registered for the 2022 Annual Meeting, and that you plan to attend in person. Our hope is that you will help us encourage attendance at the meeting and highlight the science and education program offerings.
Once you have registered for the meeting and filled out this questionnaire, the ASTRO Communication Committee will review the submissions and select this first set of early-bird #ASTRO22 Social Champions based on a range of factors such as disease site specialty, social followers, geographic location while ensuring that our Social Champions represent our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We will let all early-bird applicants know in late July.
We will do a second call for Social Champions in September if you prefer to apply then. We will include virtual attendees in that group. It is our hope to have about a dozen Social Champions in total.
We appreciate your interest in the ASTRO Annual Meeting Social Champion program.
