Getting Around San Antonio

San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is approximately 10 miles or 18 minutes from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. VIA Metropolitan Transit is San Antonio’s public transportation agency offering service throughout the city, including streetcar service within the downtown area.

On average, a one-way taxi ride from the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is approximately $30.00 (gratuity not included).

Public Transportation

VIA Metropolitan Transit is San Antonio’s public transportation agency offering service throughout the city, including streetcar service within the downtown area. Once in the downtown area, VIA’s streetcar service offers stops to or near most hotels, restaurants, the convention center and many visitors’ hot spots.

Ride Sharing

San Antonio has a multitude of rideshare car service options such as Uber or Lyft.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses will operate between official ASTRO hotels and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The service will be provided continuously throughout the day starting on Saturday, October 22, 2022, and ending on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, for anyone who has booked a room through the ASTRO Housing Center.
