Continuing Education Credits

Claim CEUS and Certificate of Attendance

Now that the 2020 ASTRO Annual Meeting evaluation is closed, you can self-attest your CME credits by following the steps below:

  • Be sure you are logged in on the ASTRO Academy at https://academy.astro.org/   
    • Your user id and password are the same as your astro.org log on credentials 
  • Click on My Activities --> Pending activities
  • Click on the meeting for which you would like to claim credits
  • Click on Take Course and attest to the amount of credits for sessions you attended, the maximum credits you can claim are listed, follow the rest of the instructions and you will receive your credits.


If you are claiming ABIM, ASRT, CAMPEP or MDCB credits please contact education@astro.org directly. These credits will be submitted directly to the accrediting body and not reflected in ASTRO Academy.

Print a Certificate of Attendance. You will need your registration id or the email address you used to register for the meeting.

Credit Statements

Physicians

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

ASTRO designates this other activity (hybrid meeting) for a maximum of 221.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Dosimetrists

This activity has been approved for 133.5 MDCB credits by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

MDCB credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-28, 2020.

Therapists

This activity has been approved for 75.25 Category A CE credit by the American Society for Radiologic Technologists.

ASRT credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-October 28, 2020.

Physicists

This activity has been approved for a maximum of 208.55  Medical Physics Continuing Education Credits (MPCEC) by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).

CAMPEP credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-28, 2020.

Nurses

This activity is not approved for nursing CEUs.


Maintenance of Certification

ABR

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing education to physicians.

ASTRO is awarded Deemed Status by the American Board of Radiology to provide SA-CME as part of Part II Maintenance of Certification.

ABIM

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 217 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

ASTRO is an accredited provider of continuing medical education. Since our accreditation is important to us, we plan activities that are compliant with the ACCME and the content or format of CME activities and related materials will promote improvements or quality in health care and not a specific proprietary business interest or commercial bias. Planning Committee members and speakers are required to disclose the existence of any financial or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) or provider(s) of any commercial services discussed in an educational presentation.

Any conflicts of interest are resolved prior to participation. In addition to written disclosure, presenters will disclose any vested interest or their intention to discuss off-label use of pharmaceuticals or devices, if applicable, to the audience at the beginning of their presentation and in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education standards and the Food and Drug Administration requirements.

In an effort to increase transparency and easy access to all disclosures, ASTRO's Faculty, Committee and Planner disclosure information will be available online for the 2020 Annual Meeting. Go to the ASTRO Annual Meeting Program web page. In addition, disclosure slides will be shown at the beginning of each session and every presenter is also required to display their disclosure. Disclosure information will not be printed in paper versions of the meeting materials.
