I was not able to attend the meeting, can I still purchase the recordings?

onDemand version of the meeting will be available for purchase on November 16, 2020. New this year, Physicians may claim CME  by session level until November 15, 2021. Access to the purchased onDemand recordings and MP3s will be available for 3 years post meeting. CME credits will need to be claimed within 1 year from the product availability November 15, 2021.

How long will content be available?

All Annual Meeting  content recordings will be available onDemand until November 30, 2020. Content will not be available on the platform after this date. However, a virtual meeting will be available for purchase on November 16, 2020. 

How do I claim my CME credits?

Attendees can evaluate the meeting and sessions attended through the Mobile App and/or Conference Planner and claim the number of credits commensurate to their participation. You cannot apply for credit directly from the platform. In the Conference Planner, enter your ASTRO credentials (your email and password you use to log in to the astro.org site), then search for the session you want to evaluate and click on Session Evaluation. For the general meeting evaluation click on Meeting Evaluation on the left side menu. View detailed instructions for claiming your credits.

Evaluation Rules:

  • Attendees need to complete the general Meeting Evaluation and at least one session evaluation in order to get their certificate(s) and transcripts. Certificate and transcript are in one PDF document.
  • The ability to claim credits doesn’t depend on the member type. The only requirements are that you must:
    • Be registered for Annual Meeting
    • Evaluate the sessions you attended and want to claim credit for and
    • Fill out the general Meeting Evaluation.

      Your Professional Suffix will determine the credit type and certificate you receive.
  • Ticketed sessions must be purchased in order to attend and to evaluate/claim credits. You cannot evaluate something you do not attend.
  • Any registered attendee can get the Certificate of Attendance once they complete the general Meeting Evaluation and evaluate at least one session
  • Live SA-CMEs: Log in to ASTRO Academy. Your sessions will be listed under Pending Activities.
What types of continuing education credits are offered?

Physicians
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

ASTRO designates this activity for a maximum of 221.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ can be earned through November 30, 2020.

Dosimetrists
This activity has been approved for 133.5 MDCB credits by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

MDCB credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-28, 2020. 

Therapists
This activity has been approved for 75.25 Category A CE credit by the American Society for Radiologic Technologists.

ASRT credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-October 28, 2020.

Physicists
This activity has been approved for a maximum of 208.55 Medical Physics Continuing Education Credits (MPCEC) by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).

CAMPEP credits can only be earned for sessions viewed during live meeting dates, October 24-28, 2020.

Nurses
This activity is not approved for nursing CEUs.

How do I view posters?

Attendees can view narrated posters through several different channels, including the Poster Hall on the virtual platform, the Conference Planner, MyASTROApp and through the virtual poster library on the astro.org website.

There are three main ways to view the posters on the Conference Planner or mobile app:

  1. Go to Schedule of Events --> Filter by Session Types --> Check the Poster Viewing Q&A box > click on a session --> On the right-hand side you will see all the abstracts tied to that session. If an abstract has a poster, then you will see a View Poster button on the abstract page.
  2. Go to Schedule of Events --> Filter by Virtual Formats --> Check the Poster Presentations box > click on a session --> On the right-hand side you will see all the abstracts tied to that session. If an abstract has a poster, then you will see a View Poster button on the abstract page.
  3. On the main navigation, click on Posters (on the Conference Planner) OR Poster Presentations (on the mobile app) --> Filter by category (categories denote tracks)
How do I get to the Exhibit Hall?

Access to the Exhibit Hall is available through the lobby of the virtual convention center. A link to the Exhibit Hall is also provided in the navigation bar at the bottom of each page of the Virtual Event Platform. Email Exhibitors with questions and for followup from the Platform until November 30.

How do I log in to the virtual conference platform?

Click on https://www.astro.org/AMNow and use the following log in credentials:

Email: The Email address you used during registration.
Password: Your Registration ID number (Confirmation #).

If you cannot log in, please use the Forgot Password function. If you don’t see the email, check you junk or spam folder. If you are using a different email, you will get an alert that you can't be found in the system.

Where can I find my registration ID number?

Log in to your MyASTRO profile at www.astro.org/myastro. Your registration number is the number below 2020 Annual Meeting Registration ID (under the green Product Catalog button).

How do I log in to the Conference Planner and Mobile App (MyASTROApp)?

To access the conference planner, go to www.astro.org/conferenceplanner. For information on downloading the MyASTROApp for mobile devices, go to www.astro.org/amattendeetools.

Use the same credentials you use to log in to the ASTRO website:

Can I get to the Virtual Conference Platform from my schedule on the Conference Planner and MyASTROApp?

No. The Conference Planner and MyASTROApp are resources to help you plan your schedule during the Annual Meeting. They are not integrated with the Virtual Conference Platform, therefore, there will not be links from your schedule into the individual sessions.

What are the technical requirements to access the virtual platform?

The best experience for the Virtual Platform is using your personal computer. The best viewing experience will be at 100% on your browser and Chrome is the recommended browser. You can also access the platform from a phone or tablet however, the site is not optimized to these devices. A high-speed internet connection is required. Registrants are highly encouraged to test their accessibility to the platform prior to the conference. Watch for an email on testing your system prior to the event.

Can I log in to the Virtual Conference Platform on multiple devices at the same time?

No, you can only be logged into one device at a time. For security purposes, you will be logged out of an active device when you log into another device.

What is the difference in each of the session formats?

Live
Live sessions are scheduled to take place at a specific date and time, usually between 8:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Eastern time. These sessions will last 60 to 90 minutes. Live sessions allow you to participate in polls and live Q&A with the presenters and other attendees. Presenters are on camera, and you’ll be able to see the accompanying presentation slides.

SimuLive
SimuLive sessions are prerecorded presentations combined with live chat Q&A. They are streamed at a scheduled date and time, usually between 8:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Eastern time. Presenters will be available throughout the session to participate in live chat Q&A.

OnDemand
Most onDemand sessions are pre-recorded and released daily at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) Eastern time on a specific date. Some sessions will be released at a scheduled time during the program. Speakers have pre-recorded their presentations so that you can watch them when it’s convenient for you. Several sessions will hold follow-up Q&A time in the networking lounge, so be sure to check the schedule in the Conference Planner to attend these if you have questions.

Q&A Follow-up
Q&A Follow-ups are live Q&A chat sessions related to OnDemand Educational and Scientific Sessions. These sessions will take place in the Networking Lounge at scheduled times throughout the meeting to allow attendees the chance to interact with faculty.

Moderated Chat
Moderated Chats are live, topic specific chats moderated by experts in the field. Chats will take place on the public chat in the Networking Lounge at scheduled times. Attendees are encouraged to go to the Networking to participate in these chats.

Poster Q&A Sessions
Poster Q&A Sessions are live chats with poster presenters in the Poster Hall at scheduled times throughout the meeting. Attendees are encouraged to view the posters in advance of the Poster Q&A Sessions and then to stop by the poster at the scheduled time to ask questions and chat with the presenter.

What is Quick Pitch?

Quick Pitch are short, fast-paced scientific sessions including pre-recorded welcome remarks and scientific presentations, followed by a 20-minute live Q&A with presenters and moderators responding to your questions.

What is Storytelling?

These special new sessions allow ASTRO members and experts in the field to share their experiences through the art of storytelling. Attendees will listen to interesting and compelling stories and interact with speakers in a more personal way. The program will include stories from ASTRO’s Committee on Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion addressing disparities and access issues, as well as a number of COVID-19 related stories on how radiation departments adjusted during the pandemic from treating patients to providing resident education virtually.

What languages will be available?

Sessions are available in English only.

How long will items remain in my briefcase

Items can be added and will remain in your briefcase until November 30. After this date they will no longer be accessible. To save items that are in your briefcase, be sure to download them to your desktop.

Please note, only documents can be downloaded. No session recordings can be downloaded.

How do I add items to my briefcase?

You can add items to your briefcase from all areas of the Virtual Event Platform. To add items, click on the session and you will see a small icon of a briefcase to the far right. Click on the briefcase and your item will be added. To view items in your briefcase, click on the briefcase icon on the navigation on the bottom of all pages of the platform. Your briefcase will only be available until November 30. If you want to save an item from your briefcase long-term, you must click view next to the item and then save to your computer.

To encourage additional interaction throughout the meeting, we have created the Leaderboard game. You will have an opportunity to gain points throughout the conference for a chance to win one of our exciting prizes! You can collect points by adding materials to your briefcase, engaging in sessions, hanging out in the exhibit hall, and more! The leaderboard will remain open from 12:00 a.m. Eastern time on October 22, 2020, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on October 28, 2020.
