Where can I find out more information about the 2020 ASTRO Annual Meeting?

Information about the 2020 ASTRO Annual Meeting will continually be updated at www.astro.org/annualmeeting. Information will also be provided in the weekly ASTROgram, ROhub and on social media. Be sure that ASTROgram@astro.org is on your approved sender list to be sure to receive the most up-to-date information. Learn more about how to whitelist ASTRO.

When will registration open for the 2020 ASTRO Annual Meeting?

Registration will open on July 9. Watch for an email from meetings@astro.org or visit the ASTRO website on or after July 9.

How can I support the virtual meeting?

Learn more about opportunities for exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers by contacting corporaterelations@astro.org. If you have already committed funding prior to the change in meeting format, your contact will reach out to discuss next steps.

I'm an exhibitor, how does this affect me?

The ASTRO Annual Meeting will include a full interactive Exhibit Hall with many engagement opportunities for companies. Exhibitors will be contacted by ASTRO and SPARGO.

As an exhibitor, do I need to contact my hotel(s) to cancel my sleeping room block?

ASTRO will cancel all contracts with the official Miami Beach hotels. As part of this process, your room block will be cancelled and no further action will be required on your part.

I am Faculty in an Education or Panel Session, how does this affect me?

By late May/early June, we plan to open our online Speaker Center.  You will receive an email when the site opens. There you will find more information concerning your involvement in the development of your content for our interactive and immersive virtual meeting.  

The Speaker Center will provide detailed information on various aspects such as the virtual session format, requirements related to submitting a recorded presentation, best practices and training sessions on how to record a presentation from your home or office, and how to moderate the Q&A  portion of the session remotely.

I am a Scientific Session Abstract Presenter/Moderator/Discussant, how does this affect me?

By late May/early June, we plan to open our online Speaker Center. You will receive an email when the site opens. There you will find more information concerning your involvement in the development of your content for our interactive and immersive virtual meeting.

The Speaker Center will connect you to our A-V partner, who will provide detailed information on various aspects such as the virtual session format, requirements related to submitting a recorded presentation, best practices and training sessions on how to record a presentation from your home or office, and how to moderate the Q&A portion of the session remotely.

I am a Digital Poster Presenter, what should I expect?

By late May/early June, we plan to open our online Speaker Center. You will receive an email when the site opens. There you will find more information concerning your involvement in the development of your content for our interactive and immersive virtual meeting.

The Speaker Center will connect you to our digital poster partner, who will provide you with the details and requirements related to submitting a digital poster, what animation or media you can include, how to record your narrated poster presentation, best practices and training sessions on how to record a presentation from your home or office.

What types of continuing education credits will be offered?

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ will be available for physicians. Additionally, ASTRO will be submitting applications to the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB), American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for additional credits. 

How will I claim credit for the 2020 Annual Meeting Online Conference?

Attendees will be able to evaluate the meeting and sessions attended through the Mobile App and/or Online Conference Planner and claim the number of credits commensurate to your participation.

Will the embargo policy remain now that the in-person meeting is cancelled?

Yes, ASTRO’s embargo policy remains in effect since abstracts will be presented at the Annual Meeting as planned.
