ASTRO's 60th Annual Meeting

Presidential Symposium

The 2018 Presidential Symposium will continue to highlight the overall meeting theme and the opportunities for radiation oncology to translate discovery to cure. The Symposium will discuss four primary themes, starting with Artificial Intelligence. In this session, moderated by Dr. David Jaffray, we will hear more about how AI and RO can come together to further the field and improve outcomes. The second session will be moderated by Dr. Sylvia Formenti and will focus on the interface of radiation oncology with immunology. Viral Oncology will be the topic of the third session, moderated by Dr. Paul Lambert, and will discuss the fact that one in six human cancers is caused by a virus. The final session, Liquid Biopsies, will be moderated by Dr. Catherine Park and will teach us about biopsies that are essentially a test of the serum for circulating tumor DNA.
