The following events are offered to ASTRO Member-in-Training/Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) members, resident nonmembers and students only. Please note that events are subject to change.

Saturday, September 24

ARRO Annual Seminar

10:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Member-in-Training/Resident-Fellow Nonmember/Student
Box Lunch provided.

This year’s program combines a variety of timely topics for residents at all stages of training. Using the audience interactive system, presentations are intended to facilitate interaction among participants from different communities. 

Sunday, September 25

ARRO Annual Luncheon

ARRO Meet the Professor Reception

4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
Member-in-Training/Resident-Fellow Nonmember
Refreshments and snacks will be provided. 

The Meet the Professor Reception will be a round table discussion on various topics of interest to radiation oncology residents. Each professor will be assigned a set of topics, ranging from careers in academics/private practice, basic science research, leadership and global health, etc., and be provided with talking points to help spur the discussion at the table. The topics for discussion will be provided to the professor a few weeks prior to the meeting and will be based on their experience and areas of interest. 

Monday, September 26

ARRO Poster Walk with a Professor

12:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This ARRO event is one of most popular sessions for residents and gives young members the opportunity to interface directly with renowned professors. After lunch and a table discussion over multiple abstracts in that disease site, the residents with professor will walk the Poster Hall floor to the view the abstracts discussed. Participants have preregistered for this event and will gather in the Poster Hall in the assigned area for a boxed lunch before the poster walk begins.
