ASTRO's 59th Annual Meeting

Live SA-CME

All Live SA-CME sessions are open to the paid meeting attendees, but only Live SA-CME ticket holders can participate in the Live SA-CME component of these sessions. Pre-registration is required and can be done on-site at the registration desk if seats are available.

Special sessions have been designated as Live Self-Assessment CME (SA-CME) Sessions to help physician and physicist attendees meet the requirements of the American Board of Radiology’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Attendance at the Live SA-CME Sessions are open to all attendees, but only Live SA-CME ticket holders are eligible to earn SA-CME credit. The target audience for these sessions is American physicians who are maintaining their certification.

Only a limited number of Live SA-CME tickets are available at these high-demand sessions, so we encourage you to register early to sercure your seat at these sessions.  Changes to Live SA-CME sessions can be made until August 24, 2017.  After August 24, 2017, no changes can be made to the sessions online, however if you wish to add a Live SA-CME on-site you may do so at the registration desk prior to the session if seats are still available.

Participation Guidelines

  1. Arrive at the designated Live SA-CME Session room 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the session and join the queue for Live SA-CME Session ticket holders.
  2. ASTRO staff will then collect your ticket for the session and in exchange will provide you with information how to access the assessment. You may access the assessment using the provide link (via your phone, smart device, personal computer). It is suggested that assessments be completed as soon as possible no later than October 2, 2017.
  3. To earn credit for your participation, you must earn a minimum score of 80 percent on the assessment questions. If these minimum requirements are NOT met, credits will not be granted and no refunds, exchanges or transfers will be given.
  4. You will receive your results via email approximately 60 days post-meeting. An email will be sent with your individual score and directions on how to print your certificate of completion from the ASTRO website. Your SA-CME credits will be uploaded into your “CME/MOC Transcript” page on the new ASTRO Academy (www.academy.astro.org) and, if you choose, you can have your credits automatically transferred to the ABR through the credit gateway.
