• 2018 Research Workshop

Targeting the Tumor Microenvironment in Radiation Oncology
    July 26-27, 2018
FHI 360 Conference Center, Washington, DC

Presented in cooperation with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)

Effects of the tumor microenvironment on the efficacy and side-effects of radiotherapy can have a huge impact on patient health and survival. This research workshop focuses on the tumor microenvironment in radiation oncology.

This in-depth workshop will explore many of the questions surrounding this important research, including:

    • How can a patient's metabolism affect the tumor microenvironment and how will it influence radiosensitivity/radioresistance?
    • What is the microimmune response to radiotherapy?
    • How can the tumor stroma affect a tumor’s radiosensitivity/radioresistance?

Join us in Washington in July for this interactive and relevant workshop.
